El ex jefe comunal peronista dirigi\u00f3 el departamento sure\u00f1o durante m\u00e1s de una d\u00e9cada y fue despedido por figuras de distintos espacios pol\u00edticos.<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Russo fue intendente de San Rafael entre 1987 y 1999 y posteriormente fue legislador provincial. En 2015 intent\u00f3 competir nuevamente por la intendencia integrando las filas de Cambia Mendoza, representado al partido Fe, aliado del radicalismo.<\/p>\n<p>Tras confirmarse su fallecimiento, varias figuras pol\u00edticas de distintos espacios enviaron condolencias a su familia y destacaron el legado del ex jefe comunal.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnte el fallecimiento de\u00a0<strong>Vicente \u201cChicho\u201d Russo<\/strong>, ex intendente de San Rafael, acompa\u00f1o a su familia y seres queridos en este momento. Mis condolencias a quienes compartieron con \u00e9l, el compromiso por la gesti\u00f3n p\u00fablica y el desarrollo de San Rafael\u201d, expres\u00f3 la vicegobernadora Hebe Casado durante las primeras horas de este lunes.<\/p>\n<p>Por su parte, el dirigente radical sanrafaelino, Francisco Mondotte, tambi\u00e9n lament\u00f3 la muerte del ex intendente y expres\u00f3: <em><strong>\u201cDespedimos a un verdadero s\u00edmbolo de San Rafael. Chicho Russo fue un dirigente marcado por el compromiso y la cercan\u00eda. San Rafael recordar\u00e1 con enorme respeto a un gobernante que defendi\u00f3 y proyect\u00f3 el desarrollo del Departamento.
